Named Presenting Sponsor of Tommie Bauer Memorial Race

Lake Odessa, MI (Monday, July 29, 2019) - One of the largest DIRTcar UMP Modified events of the 2019 season is just around the corner - the 4th Annual Tommie Bauer Memorial Presented by from Mt. Pleasant Speedway on Friday, August 9th, 2019. For the second year in a row, the American Ethanol Modified Tour Presented by Allstar Performance (AEmods) will sanction the event. In addition, will present the $2,519 prize.

The event, organized by AEmods driver Chad Bauer, was founded in 2016 to honor his late father, Tommie Bauer. With the help of and many other sponsors and advertisers, the overall purse for this year has been dubbed the richest payout in Mt. Pleasant Speedway history, featuring over $22,000 in prize money. Cash prizes will be available for Qualifying, Heat Races and of course the 40 lap Main Event.

David Mielke won the 2016 and 2018 editions of the race, while Chad Bauer drove to victory lane in 2017. Thirty Nine DIRTcar UMP Modifieds entered the race a year ago and a stout field of AEmods are expected again this year. On race day, August 9th, cars are set to hit the track at approximately 6:45pm with racing beginning at 7:45pm. More details will be released in the coming days.
