MCRP Further Develops Safety Program
Rochester Hills, MI (Friday, December 14, 2018) - Since the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Trade Show has returned to Indianapolis, management with Motor City Racing Promotions (MCRP) make the annual trip to Indianapolis, Indiana for the pivotal motorsports industry trade show. All departments of MCRP made connections, learned valuable information and furthered their education within the industry. Again, this year, the safety department took on as much as anyone.
MCRP prides themselves on having a fully equipped, fully staffed and trained safety team on hand at all MCRP promoted events, including American Ethanol Late Model and Modified Tour races, along with select special events throughout the year. MCRP Safety Officials are SFI Foundation Inc. Short Track Incident Response Certified Officials, who continue to seek education on protecting the drivers they serve. Four members of the MCRP Safety division attended Friday’s International Council of Motorsports Science Race Track Safety Program at Dallara IndyCar Factory.
The day began with officials attending education seminars covering injury and illness patterns, respiratory protection for motorsports firefighting and equipment advances in rescue tools. Officials also participated in hands on practical drills including helmet and frontal head restraint removal, spinal control and immobilization during driver extrication, hydraulic cutting of chassis roll cages, driver roll over experience and more. The day finished with officials watching the Canadian Motorsports Response Team and IndyCar Safety Team in practical demonstrations.
MCRP Senior Management made great progress on a number of events for the 2019 season. One event that was announced during the PRI show was the first ever race for the CRA Junior Late Model Series and the season opener for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance at Flat Rock Speedway. MCRP will promote this exciting event, scheduled to be held on Sunday, April 28th.

Complete schedule details are to be announced in the coming weeks however, during the show, officials from Atomic Speedway were pleased to announce their two American Ethanol Late Model Tour dates, Saturday, May 11th and Saturday October 12th. The October 12th, $5,000 to win, AELMT race will be paired with a $2,000 to win American Ethanol Modified Tour Presented by Allstar Performance (AEmods) race.
