Pair of Return Trips on Tap for AEmods

Lake Odessa, MI (Wednesday, September 11, 2019) - The American Ethanol Modified Tour Presented by Allstar Performance (AEmods) is gearing up for a big weekend of racing that includes a pair of return trips to two very different racetracks. On Friday, September 13th, Gas City I-69 Speedway welcomes the Tour for the final time this season. Then on Saturday the 14th, the AEmods join the American Ethanol Late Model Tour (AELMT) for the Fall Special at Hartford Speedway.

The last time the AEmods visited Gas City I-69 Speedway, officials battled mother-nature before the running of the American Ethanol Showdown on Sunday, May 19th. Chad Bauer battled current points leader Will Krup for the win, holding off Krup on a late race restart for his first and only win on the Tour in 2019.

This Friday, the Tour returns with a three car battle for the second spot in the Championship Points Standing. Luke Hubbell holds the position over Garrett Rons and John McClure, who are all searching for their first Tour win in 2019.

Pit gates open at Gas City I-69 Speedway at 3:00 p.m., with General Admission gates opening at 5:00 p.m. The first American Ethanol Green Flag of the night waves at 7:30 p.m. AEmods join Sprint Cars, Hornets and USAC SpeeD2 Midgets.

Saturday, the AEmods return to Hartford Speedway along with the AELMT for the Fall Special - the final event for Hartford Speedway in 2019. Back in June, Krup found his way to Victory Lane during the Allstar Performance 30. He battled Dave Baker for the top spot on a slick racetrack, before holding off a charge from Jacob Poel and Curt Spalding. For Krup, he is 71 points away from wrapping up the title early over Hubbell. A perfect night on Friday or Saturday could be the difference on the season.

Drivers will begin rolling onto the ground Saturday at 3:00 p.m. when pit gates open, and fans can take their seats at 5:00 p.m. The first American Ethanol Green Flag waves at 7:00 p.m. for AEmods, AELMT, Stock Cars and Cyber Stocks.
