National Bandolero Champion Set for First CRA Junior Late Model Start

Sterling Heights, MI (Tuesday, January 7, 2020) - Reigning Bandolero Bandit INEX National Tour Champion, Kody King is set to embark on a new adventure in 2020, when he joins the field with the Victory Custom Trailers CRA Junior Late Model Series. When King hits the track during the Motor City 200 from Flat Rock Speedway on April 25, the Clear Lake, Iowa driver will begin his first season of competition in a full-sized stock car.

In 2019, King earned a fourth-place finish in the overall INEX National Bandolero Bandit standings; strong performances across multiple states in the country were enough for him to claim the National Touring Championship. In 41 races across the United States, King earned 11 wins at six tracks in six states, including Minnesota, Texas, Colorado, and Michigan among others. Backing those numbers up with 24 podium finishes and 32 top-five finishes throughout the season.

According to McCallister Precision Marketing, King and his team are planning a full season of competition with the Victory Custom Trailers CRA Junior Late Model Series this season. “I’m really excited,” said the 12-year-old King, who is a Lee Faulk Racing and Development developmental driver. “Getting in a late model has always been the goal and I’m looking forward to my first opportunity to race one later this year. This wouldn’t be possible without my family and the support of Lee Faulk Racing and MPM Marketing. I can’t thank everyone enough.”

King's plan this year is to contest the full Victory Custom Trailers CRA Junior Late Model Series schedule while competing in a busy Legends car schedule across the United States. King will be driving a family-owned late model with additional support from the team at Lee Faulk Racing and Development throughout the season.

King will make his Victory Custom Trailers CRA Junior Late Model Series debut during the season opening event at Michigan’s Flat Rock Speedway on Saturday, April 25, during the Motor City 200.
