Sterling Heights, MI (Wednesday, December 18, 2019) - The annual Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Trade Show has become a pivotal part of a successful season for many across the motorsports world. Motor City Racing Promotions’ (MCRP) team is no different, which is why they have made the trip to Indianapolis every year since the show was moved back to the Hoosier State. This massive event served valuable for all departments within MCRP - making connections, learning valuable information, and furthering their education to better serve the industry. At the top of the priority list again this year, was the MCRP Safety Team.
It is MCRP’s own appreciation of the sport and its growing need for professional motorsports rescue that has been the catalyst behind the continuous growth of the MCRP Safety Team. Motor City Racing Promotions provides this highly trained team of professionals at all American Ethanol Late Model Tour events, MCRP promoted events and select special events throughout the season, including the upcoming SpeedFest 2020 event at Crisp Motorsports Park in Cordele, Georgia.
Each official is SFI Foundation Inc. certified in Short Track Incident Response and continues to seek education on protecting the drivers they serve. At the PRI Trade Show, four team members participated in multiple education seminars and training courses throughout the three day event. Curriculum featured hands-on training through the International Council of Motorsports Science Race Track Safety Program and educational events such as the Stand21 Racing Goes Safer seminars on "Driver Hydration" and "Rapid Response".
MCRP Senior Management made great progress on a number of events for the 2020 season. One event that was found on schedules announced during the PRI show was the return of the Motor City 200 to Flat Rock Speedway. The JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance, the CRA Junior Late Model Series and Modifieds will make up the 3-in-1 show. This exciting event is scheduled to be held on Saturday, April 25th.
Officials also made gains on the American Ethanol Late Model Tour schedule. Tour Officials look forward to making announcements in the near future regarding confirmed existing and new tour marketing partners.
MCRP Media Officials, at the PRI show, had the opportunity to attend several seminars on how to better use social networking tools, allowing MCRP to better promote events, drivers, and races. Their training will also help in allowing the fan to continue to be engaged in nearly everything happening in the MCRP organization.
