Sterling Heights, MI (March 3, 2020) - As the race season nears in the State of Michigan, the pre-season news stories continue to build on the Horsepower Happenings desk. This Saturday though, the importance of safety in short track racing shifts to the forefront as Motor City Racing Promotions’ (MCRP) Horsepower Happenings packs up shop, and heads for Watervleit, MI and the Lane Automotive Safety Summit.
For the first time in Safety Summit history, some of the Horsepower Happenings crew will be on hand Saturday, March 7th to document the exciting work being done before the 2020 campaigns get underway. Alongside MCRP’s Safety Team, Kalamazoo Track Services (KTS) will be on hand, as will keynote speakers presenting to the public through the day, special guests, and others.
The Lane Automotive Safety Summit features something for nearly everyone within the industry - including drivers, crew members, track officials, and promoters. Round-table discussions and open workshops will take place for those who want to share their ideas and hear from others on how to improve safety across the board. Likewise, MCRP and KTS Service Vehicles will be displayed to better allow participants the chance to see professional safety vehicles up-close. The Lane Automotive showroom will be busy as well with vendors, one day only sales and promotions, as well as an opportunity to see some area race cars before they hit the track.
