Sterling Heights, MI (Tuesday, July 7, 2020) - For Cody Coughlin and Rusty Schlenk, they each have found great success in their respective areas of the industry throughout their career. Now, each driver is focusing more on their local racing and winning regularly. Each discusses their current status in racing and what fans can look for on this week's Horsepower Happenings.
Coughlin has won two straight races with the Champion Racing Association dating back to his win from Anderson Speedway with the ARCA/CRA Super Series on Saturday, June 20th. He backed that up with another victory in the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour at Jennerstown Speedway Complex on July 4th, banking an impressive $5,000. These wins come after a long dry spell going back to 2016, something Coughlin says critics shouldn't get hug up on. He explains that and more this week.
For McClure, Ohio's Rusty Schlenk, he just returned to Merritt Speedway victory lane over the weekend where he cashed in on a $10,000 payday. Schlenk tells Horsepower Happenings that increased traffic at his self-owned Domination Race Cars business is going to keep him from one of the nations biggest Dirt Late Model campaigns. He breaks that down and discusses his winning ways in 2020 on the latest episode of Horsepower Happenings.
