American Ethanol Modified Tour Dueling in a Doubleheader

Lake Odessa, MI (Wednesday, June 4, 2019) - The American Ethanol Modified Tour Presented by Allstar Performance (AEmods) is gearing up for a doubleheader race weekend that will see two tracks in two states. Some Championship contenders will try to become the first repeat winner of the 2019 season, while others will focus on keeping themselves in the hunt for the 2019 title.

The weekend begins Friday, June 7th at Hartford Speedway in Hartford, Michigan for the Allstar Performance 30. The former half-mile oval now enters its 3rd year as a large 3/8th mile that still sees big speed and close racing. Last year, Curt Spalding made his first ever trip to Victory Lane, after trailing Zeke McKenzi for much of the race. Spalding made his move when McKenzi slipped high coming off of turn four, allowing Spalding to power by on the inside. Racing throughout the rest of the field did not disappoint either, with multiple two and three wide battles during the entire race. This Friday, gates open at 4:00 p.m., Hot Laps at 6:00 p.m., the American Ethanol Green Flag waves and the battle for $1,500 begins at 8:00 p.m.

On Saturday, June 8th, crews will travel south to continue the weekend from Montpelier Motor Speedway in Montpelier, Indiana for the POET BioFuels 30. Last year, crews set a new AEmods attendance record when 51 cars showed up for the first ever appearance of the AEmods to Montpelier. Once the field was set, it was all Lynn, Indiana’s Bill Lewis who led the field throughout the caution free 30 lap event, holding off eventual Tour Champion, Jacob Poel and Zeke McKenzi. Gates will open at 3:00 p.m., with Hot Laps at 5:00 p.m. and the American Ethanol Green Flag at 6:30 p.m.
